News, Events & Me

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago. I've lived on a rubber plantation in Liberia, went to boarding school in Switzerland and art school in Vienna, Austria. I have a BFA in graphic design from the University of Illinois. For 25+ years I owned WM Design, a graphic design firm in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Glass, ceramics, soaps, illustration, paper, felting, embroidery, gardening, preserving - I like to create from scratch. My mom was a quilter, my dad dabbled in lapidary, wire wrapping and basket weaving and my brother is into ceramics. The creative bug is in my family and we take our hobbies very seriously.


I teach flamework at the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum in Neenah, Wisconsin.
I was a guest artist/teacher to high school students at the Renaissance School for the Arts, Appleton Area School District. Sharing the arts is
